The Murder of the Down's Syndrome Children  [Back to the Homepage]

May 9, 2007 -- Today, the New York Times brings us the news that ninety percent of all pregnant women who are given a Down syndrome diagnosis choose to have an abortion. The full story can be read here : www.nytimes.com/2007/05/09/us/09down.html?_r=1&pagewanted=print

If the Times data is accurate, over 45 to 50 thousand infants are murdered each year in Amerika for the crime of being afflicted with Down's syndrome. In Nazi Germany at least 200,000 were killed for being deemed "unworthy of life"-that is, the handicapped, the aged, the retarded. The irony is while Amerika condemns Nazi Germany (while watching movies like "Schindler's List") she creates a new Holocaust every day. What a grotesque and evil abomination-to have a "Doctor" kill an infant that God has created because it is not perfect in the sight of man. These helpless infants have as much right to live as you or I. Why then, would a Mother have a Doctor slaughter the infant, deposit them in a medical waste bag and send them to a landfill? The answer is sin-the evil and wickedness, the hard-heartedness that is in the heart of every murderer.

Amerika: look into the eyes of these children and tell me they deserve to be killed:

"Deliver those being taken to death, and those stumbling to be killed." - Proverbs 24:11a

These children were created in the image of God-whoever has a hand in their abortion is a murderer.

"And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant; but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?" - Exodus 4:10,11

As a murderer you will then be one heartbeat away from an eternity in hell. Those who have already committed this crime need to repent of their sin and find forgiveness from Jesus Christ, who is ready to cleanse and forgive us our sins.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9

Those parents who have received this diagnosis-I appeal to you for the infant's sake. Those little ones have as much a right to life as you or I and are beloved by their Creator and Lord, Jesus Christ. Let these little ones live! Children are a blessing from the Lord, not something to be thrown away!

"Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." - Psalm 127:3

In closing, it is appropriate that we read the following passage from Mark 10:13-16. In it, we are reminded of the Lord Jesus Christ's clear, everpresent and most compassionate love for little children:

"13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them; and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God.
15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them." - Mark 10:13-16
