Salvation: [Return to Roman Catholicism Page]
"There are seven sacraments in the Church: Baptism, Confirmation or Chrismation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony."
--Catholic Catechism, Part 2, Section 1, Article 2
This same foundational RC church document goes on to state:
"The Church affirms that for believers the sacraments of the New Covenant are necessary for salvation. "Sacramental grace" is the grace of the Holy Spirit, given by Christ and proper to each sacrament. The Spirit heals and transforms those who receive him by conforming them to the Son of God. The fruit of the sacramental life is that the Spirit of adoption makes the faithful partakers in the divine nature by uniting them in a living union with the only Son, the Savior."

By Faith Alone or by Sacraments and Traditions of Men?
The supposed "seven sacraments" listed to the right are available only through the Roman Catholic Church for its members. They are no more than an attempt to purchase the grace of God - which is free - with good works.
It follows then, that only Roman Catholics can be saved according to RC church doctrine. This was pronounced by the current Pope, ludicrous as that may seem - in his work "Dominus Iesus" of several years ago.
Those Christians who are not comatose and Biblically illiterate recognize these pronouncements for the lies and damnable heresies that they are. Let the Word of God, our true final authority, demolish such evil inventions of men:
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. -- Romans 3:20
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it [saving faith] is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. --
Ephesians 2:8,9
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ... --
Romans 5:1
Not by works of righteousness which we have done , but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost... --
Titus 3:5
...Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. --
Acts 16:30,31
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. --
Romans 10:9-13
Finally- let the words of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself be heard by those with ears to hear:
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. --
John 6:40
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. --
John 3:16-18
Salvation then comes by grace, through faith, and calling on the Lord Jesus Himself for salvation and forgiveness of sins. There is no other way to heaven. The Roman Catholic people have been deluded into believing the doctrines of men. They are taught they can be saved by their infant baptism or their "Eucharist", and by implication - their church membership. Nothing could be further from the truth. May our God raise up soldiers in the Body of Christ who will bring the true gospel to the lost Roman Catholic people.
"But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world..."
-- Galatians 6:14
